Choosing gas masks for teenagers and families starts with finding the right fit for each person. In this MIRA Safety gas mask review, I explain why my family uses different masks: the CM-7M for my kiddos, the CM-8M for my wife, and the C21 full-face respirator for myself.

A major focus is teenage gas mask sizing. My son needs a small size, which is why having multiple size options matters when choosing emergency preparedness gear for the entire family. The MIRA Safety CM-7M is available in three sizes and features recessed dual lenses, a built-in drinking system, and compatibility with standard 40mm NATO filters.
I also spend a few minutes comparing the features of the CM-7M, CM-8M, and C21. The CM-8M combines a wide-view visor with a contoured design for use with optics, along with a six-point mesh harness and speech diaphragm. The C21 offers three sizes, a six-point harness, a ballistic-resistant visor, and compatibility with 40mm NATO filter cartridges.
If you’re researching gas masks for teenagers, comparing MIRA Safety respirators, or building your family preparedness setup, this video shares our choices and the differences worth considering. Fit is individual, so our family’s setup is a starting point for your research.
