In this Vortex Crossfire II Solar review, I’m taking this budget red dot to the range to see how it performs and whether the solar upgrade is worth it. The Crossfire II Solar pairs a 2 MOA red dot with motion activation and Vortex’s Auto D-TEC technology, which switches between solar and battery power based on the available light. It also offers 10 daylight brightness settings, two night vision settings, and both a low mount and a lower 1/3 co-witness mount.

In this video, I’m putting the Volquartsen Black Mamba .22 LR through its paces to see if it deserves to be called one of the best .22 pistols on the market. The Black Mamba combines Volquartsen’s LLV Competition Upper with a stainless steel match barrel, lightweight aluminum shroud, DLC-coated Competition Bolt, single-port compensator, and a Ruger MK IV 22/45 frame upgraded with Volquartsen’s Accurizing Kit for a crisp 2.25 lb trigger pull. It also retains the convenient push-button takedown system of the Ruger MK IV platform. (Volquartsen Firearms)

One of the coolest things about the Mamba lineup is just how many configurations Volquartsen offers. You can choose from 3-inch Mini Mambas, 4.5-inch and 6-inch Black Mambas, Mamba-X models designed around direct-mounted optics, and a wide variety of finishes including black anodized, FDE, OD Green, Tungsten, Sniper Gray, camo, Battleworn, Predator Stripe and more. Different models are also available with fiber-optic or target sights, giving shooters plenty of ways to configure a Mamba for plinking, competition, or just an extremely fun day at the range. (Volquartsen Firearms)

After spending some time behind the Black Mamba, the question is simple: is this the best .22 pistol I’ve shot?

Is the Cyelee CAT EDG the best budget RMSc enclosed carry optic? In this review, I take a closer look at Cyelee’s compact enclosed-emitter red dot and break down its features, build quality, performance, and overall value for everyday carry and compact pistol setups.

https://alnk.to/74zsAD5

The Cyelee CAT EDG uses an RMSc / 407K / 507K-style footprint and is designed for smaller carry pistols while still offering the protection of a fully enclosed emitter. It features a 3 MOA red dot, rugged 7075-T6 aluminum construction, Shake Awake motion activation, a side-loading battery, multiple brightness settings, and an IPX7 waterproof rating.

One of the biggest advantages of an enclosed carry optic is keeping dirt, lint, dust, rain, and debris away from the emitter, which can be especially useful on a pistol carried every day. The CAT EDG aims to bring that enclosed-optic durability to the compact carry market without the premium price tag.

If you’re looking for an affordable RMSc enclosed red dot for a compact or subcompact pistol, the Cyelee CAT EDG offers a strong feature set for the money. In this video, I put it through its paces and see whether it deserves a place among the best budget enclosed carry optics.

In this video, I’m comparing five EDC sling bag options to see how they stack up for everyday carry, organization, comfort, storage, and overall design. On the Savior Equipment side, I’m testing both the Obscura 3L Small and Obscura 5L Medium. The 3L is designed as the more compact option, while the 5L provides additional space and a larger internal setup for bigger everyday carry needs. Both Obscura bags feature multiple security modes, a dedicated rear compartment, padded shoulder straps, EDC organization, and an ambidextrous design.

From Grab Bag Gear, I’m comparing the Guardian, Watchman Small, and Watchman Large. The Guardian offers a compact footprint with the Mag-Vault magnetic zipper system, combination-lock security, MOLLE organization, and additional storage. The Watchman Small increases the available space while maintaining a relatively compact profile, while the larger Watchman provides substantially more room for gear and accessories.

We’ll look at size, access, comfort, build quality, organization, capacity, and how each bag actually performs in real-world EDC use. If you’re considering the Savior Equipment Obscura or one of the Grab Bag Gear sling bags, this comparison should help you understand the differences before choosing the setup that fits your needs.
